Miss Universe 2013 Hosts

A little drama about who will host the Miss Universe 2013 to be held in Russia despite of the LGBT issue. The eyed host, Andy Cohen who has been the host for past two consecutive years, denied the offer and prefers not to step on Russia for security purposes. After a weeks of waiting if who will take the microphone and be the Miss Universe 2013 hosts, it was officially announced by the Miss Universe Organization spearheaded by Donald Trump and Paula Shugart that Mel B and Thomas Roberts will take the role of presenters for the 62nd edition of MissUniverse. Jeannie Mai and Janine Tugonon will also take their roles as presenters of behind-the-scenes.

Let’s get to know more about our hosts:

Melanie Brown or commonly known as Mel B of the Spice Girls is set to become the lead presenter of Miss Universe 2013. Mel B is well-known Artist, Singer, performer and a TV personality. She made her historical name in the award winning all female group Spice Girls. Melanie was recently seen in the eight season of America’s Got Talent as one of the judges. She was also the presenter of Miss Universe 2008 which was held in Nha Trang, Vietnam. This Spanish accent ebony will join Thomas Roberts on stage as they present and announce the winners on stage.

Thomas Roberts is an award winning journalists who has been in TV for several years already. MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” and NBC’s “Today are few to mention all of the TV hosting he had been through. Thomas also received tremendous awards in his documentaries and journals made. Though Thomas was also openly gay, he didn’t hesitate to accept the offer. According to him, it would be another chance for LGBT’s around the world to be finally recognized and break any discrepancy against them.

Jeannie Mai is again back for her most significant role in Miss Universe Pageant. She is always asked to be on the backstage and update the viewers of the Behind-the-scenes of the candidates. Jeannie will tell us the feeling of waiting at the backstage and the heat of excitement. She will be joining with Janine Tugonon of the Philippines.

Janine Tugonon – the official representative of Philippines in Miss Universe 2012 and ended as 1^st runner-up is here again to join Jeannie Mai in presenting the Behind-the-Scenes of the candidates. She is expected to be in the preliminaries, national costume and activities of our candidates to make us updated.
